Not having a normal night’s sleep due to the extended period of fireworks that was taking place in my district last night up until the hour of one, my regular hours of sleep was cut short which nearly always causes me to be a little on the brittle side the following day, and thankful I didn’t have much of any interaction with the general public other than several phone calls from clients and one from my old friend who lives out East.
After getting caught up on my end of the month accounting and bill paying, I went back over to my project and finished up on that nasty job I started last weekend, so at least that’s now done and ready to lift it up to its next level.
Since I was alone with not distractions, I began thinking more deeply about how our now fractured democracy managed to get to where it is today, and especially in such a short period of time.
Well, first of all, I believe it was all part of a grand dark plan which was in the makings long before our POTUS was elected, and of course that plan being ‘Project 2025’, and if you re-read its ‘manifesto’, you’ll find close similarities to what’s going on right now.
Another remarkable fact which will likely go down in our history books, are the number of political appointees who’re light years out of their league, whom I believe were purposely put in those high positions for two reasons. Number one, they’ve sworn fealty to our POTUS and his inner circle, and number two, none of them are in command of any sort of note-worthy intelligent, and that includes our Vice President J.D. Vance, who’s likely following Peter Thiel’s playbook. Just remember, Peter decided some time ago to take J.D. under his wing, which is how he managed to rocket from being a nobody hillbilly, to a very high political office.
I couldn’t help thinking of Aldous Huxley’s novel ‘Brave New World’ and George Orwell’s ‘Nineteen Eighty-Four’ which were on my list of required reading back when I was in school, and since it’s been so very long since I read them, there are still portions of those books which are reminiscent of these times. Aldous Huxley was the one who said, “Disinformation travels faster than reason.”, and all of us who’re critical forward thinkers, would be in full agreement with such words.
While on the phone this afternoon with my old friend who lives out East, I couldn’t help mentioning how much damage our current Administration has done to our democracy in less that six months, which has me wondering on a daily basis, “What’s next?”
We also talked about how in these times, our once believed to be ‘friends’, have been purposely pushed aside, just so we can continue to growing in a more positive and upward direction. I couldn’t help saying that friendships really don’t end, they simply grow apart, and once we’re fully detached from them, we end up looking back and seeing true characters which weren’t visible at the time, and only because we were too close, and likely too forgiving. I used a past ‘friend’ as example when commenting on how growing up and away from certain people, allows us to fully reconcile our friendship-severing acts. Truth be told, ridding ourselves of such phycological baggage, allows us more room for building better and longer-lasting relationships with others who’re far more worthy of genuine friendships. Yes, in the end, it all makes sense. As a footnote, we must remember to keep Hanlon’s Razor in mind before jumping to conclusions over something a poor mis-informed soul has said or done, and especially in these times where fake news has become the norm.
