It definitely ended up being a longer day than normal again, but at least I did manage to get several noteworthy things accomplished which always help to keep a person in a productive mode.
After getting everything done on the real estate side of things, I took several hours off to get some cleaning up done in a unit which hadn’t been taken care of for longer than I can possibly imagine. While working, I couldn’t help remembering how often I would say, “Some tenants believe they’re living in a hotel with maid service, but the maid never arrives.” I’m sure you’re now able to get a better visual as to its condition. Oh well, it’s all part of the program.
I just about fell off my chair when recently seeing a listing get posted on a property owned by an acquaintance who from the first time we met, always seemed to speak but really not say anything, which I’ve always considered ‘canned chatter’, so I guess in that case it was another one of those ‘like attracts’ when choosing his listing agent. I’ll continue to wish him well.
My late listing appointment took me out to a very large ranch home on the southwest side, so I can now proudly announce there’s a curtain rising on 1645 – 7th Place SW here in Mason City which has been owned by the same family for decades. Tonight’s main photo is the exterior shot, and if you click on it, a slideshow will begin, so be sure to share with friends and relatives.
First of all, this ranch home has four bedrooms, 1 ¾ baths, a master bath, an absolutely delightful cook’s kitchen which offers a larger than normal kitchen dining area, as well as a formal dining room. The main floor family room with its wood burning fireplace and tall thermal windows facing the rear yard, provides a genuine zone of comfort after a hard day’s work. There’s a large lower level rec room, along with another finished area which is large enough for a pool table or exercise equipment. The generous-sized 2-car garage is only a few steps from the back door, but the real bonus with this home, is the size of its yard which is actually two full lots, so if someone wanted to build another garage on it, there’d not be any problem because the yard space is there, or one could even have the biggest vegetable or flower garden in the neighborhood. The asking price we have on it is $229,500 which in my mind, puts it a cut above the competition. Keep in mind, the ranch homes are still king in North Iowa.
Tonight’s One-liner is: Those who do not prevent injustices when they can, encourages them.
