Useful Idiot

In spite of it being an exceptionally wet and gray day, we can at least be happy the temps stayed above freezing and not get anymore snow. Now that we’ve only got two more days left in the month of March, we should be out of the worst of winter weather. Yes, we can still get snow because I now see it coming down, but at least it won’t be hanging around anymore than a day or two.

For whatever reason, I was a bit anxious and restlessness after I arrived at office, so I decided to go out and walk it off in our Downtown, and since the streets and sidewalks were empty, it felt pretty good knowing I had it all to myself.

What I ended up doing, was create one big walking circle where I ended up down where there’re building that silly ‘River Walk’ which appears to be at a standstill. I walked halfway across that footbridge, just to watch the water flowing down Willow Creek. There was a goose treading water near the shoreline all the time I was there, which meant there was a female somewhere on her nest above the water. I tried to look for her, but there were too many volunteer trees and underbrush. I do hope they get that mess cleared out on both sides of Willow Creek because everything that growing there are junk trees and bushes which should’ve been cut out years ago. Like I’ve said many times, they enjoy building out in grand styles, but don’t realize those areas need to be maintained.

I did notice where Schupick’s Accounting firm which is right next to the Chamber of Commerce building, has closed their doors. I noticed a sign saying something about them ‘merging’ with Harris Accounting which is out near the movie theatre. What a clever way of saying, “I’m retired and sold my bank of clients to another firm.”

By the time I arrived back at office, I felt completely refreshed and ready to move forward with getting my spiritual exercise underway, and thank goodness I was able to get myself back into balance because it’s really not a good idea to do anything spiritual when stirred-up. Yes, once completed, I was ready to move forward with my day.

The bulk of today’s free time was spent working over at my project, and in spite of being there for a good six hours, I wasn’t even the least bit tuckered-out, and only because I took my sweet time going thru a few old ‘news reels’ in my mind. Yes, I’m definitely developing a talent for pulling those dusty volumes of mine off their mental shelves.

One of the episodes which I’d completely forgotten about, was what a certain ‘reli’ of mine had done well over twenty years ago, whom I now have absolutely nothing to do with, and for good reasons. Ok. Now tell me how you would feel if you later discovered that a naughty monkey ‘reli’ of yours, had the guts to crawl thru the basement window of your mother’s house, and then freely and willing, go up to the main floor and take a book that would’ve been immediately given back if that person had only asked? Yes, that’s what I considered having the guts. Thank goodness I didn’t find out about it until after that creature had flown back to its own filthy nest. Yes, we can all pick our friends, but unfortunately not our relatives.

Another reel that started playing, was having to hear another ‘reli’ proudly saying more than once, “I didn’t even cry at your mother’s funeral.” Each and every time I heard those words, I so much wanted to ask, “Are you bragging or complaining?” Thank goodness that entity is also far and fully-out of my metaphysical sphere. Yes, I’ve learned some hard but good lessons which have enabled me to become what I consider a better all-around person, and only because I’ve come to understand there’s no changing of a person’s character because most of it’s been hard-coded over the years. Oh, and in spite of them telling you they’ve ‘fixed’ themselves, be even more careful because that’s normally one of those invisible hooks they use to pull you back in. Just remember, talk is cheap, but actions speak the loudest.

Once back at office, I changed back into my street clothes and then went to my computer and watched a few Facebook reels. Oh my gosh! I still can’t believe how many useful idiots our POTUS has surrounded himself with, and likely because they’re very much like trained guard dogs that’ll go on the attack once given their commands.  Yes, they’re definitely following the playbook of ‘Project 2025’ which those nefarious members of the Heritage Foundation sent to print.

I’m still surprised yet not, that Pete Hegseth hasn’t resigned, because I’m convinced we’re seeing just the beginnings of his screw-ups. I’m sure many of the people living in Forest Lake Minnesota which is about 25 miles from St. Paul, are wishing he’d step down because he’s likely giving that community a bad name. When reading about him on Wikipedia, I dare say he’s had a white supremacist mentality since he reached puberty. It’s no wonder he’s had some bullish relationships with the opposite sex. I personally have no time for womanizers.

Tonight’s One-liner is: It takes guts in this country to refuse to be a registered Democrat or Republican.
