This morning I listed an acreage that is one of the rare ones. It’s within the limits of Mason City, there are 4.45 acres, hard surface street in front, and an unbelievable private setting. I arrived there before the seller so I had an opportunity to really get a “feel” for the place. I could see either a major re-construction of the existing house since the foundation is poured and appears in good condition, or I would scrape it and build a charming country home on the site. There are fruit trees, old growth trees, vegetable garden areas, huge patches of flowers, grassy areas, and other bushes and trees. A person could basically create just about any type of setting they would want because the building site is so far off the street. There is a well and septic but if a buyer would want, they could have city sewer and water brought in from the street. The possibilities are endless. If you are driving on 12th St. NE and blink while driving past it, you wouldn’t even see the driveway. That’s how private it is. Oh, and I couldn’t help myself taking a picture of some Morel mushrooms that were growing under the trees. I hope whomever purchases this property creates the most beautiful secret garden for themselves. Everyone should have their own private sanctuary.
