I must tell you all that I have over these past three years, when I am not doing my job of serving the community of North Iowa and Mason City’s real estate needs, I have been working slowly but surly on my 1882 historic building. After thousands of hours and many thousands of dollars, I am beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
I smile to myself whenever someone comes to my office for the first time after they get past the exterior that is not yet finished and they normally say something like, “Wow, what a nice office you have here!”
I guess I’m one of those crazy people who can’t stop working towards the near absolute best. I really love the location of my office because it’s in walking distance to nearly everything in Downtown Mason City and being part of the Streetscape Project of downtown Mason City, I feel honored that I am going to be a part of the re-vitalization and growth of the core of our city. So many people have asked me if I’m getting funds from the State of Iowa to restore my business front. I say to everyone, no, No, and NO. Perhaps it’s because of my upbringing that I am the way that I am about such things, but I don’t believe anyone should ask for assistance unless they truly are in desperate straits. I thank goodness that Holtz Realty is not in that situation.
Every day of my life I thank every client and customer for giving me the opportunity to do the best for them and their families.
Again I say, “It’s not about you or me, it’s about we.”
