Somewhere In Between

Fortunately the wind wasn’t blowing as strong as it was yesterday, which helped to turn our day into something closer to what we’d normally expect for the month of April. I’m starting to see more splotches of green grass emerging, so maybe summer is just around the corner.

There were some time-sensitive chores needing to be completed this morning before I had to head over to the second floor of our museum where there were two continuing education classes I’d signed up for, and since I’m always looking for ways in which I can get my requirements filled more sooner than later, I figured today’s classes a necessity.

After about the first hour and a half of listening to the presenter/instructor, I suddenly remembered how quickly I become bored with it all and then have to start fighting with myself to keep from falling asleep. The afternoon class was the one that had me drinking cups of coffee to stay alert. As much as I wanted to add a few thoughts of my own regarding several of the subjects he was discussing, I figured it best to stay quiet and let the select few who always seem to end up asking and then talking about the silliest of things. Yes, there definitely are those who just love to hear themselves talk. Yes, I’m sure you’ve been part of such groups as well.

Shortly after I got back to office once those classes were over, I managed to get some documents signed by one of my sellers on a property I had this creepy/weird feeling there’d be intervening circumstances which would possibly de-rail that transaction, but fortunately there was another player who wanted the house even more than the current buyer, which as usual, will likely prompt the ‘cleaning up’ of those documents. It creeps me out a little bit whenever such ‘feelings’ turn into realities.

Since I was pretty much confined to the classroom most of the day, there really wasn’t much happening worth sharing, other than someone having told me late this afternoon that our POTUS placed another 50% tariff on China, and of course we all know there are an infinite number of things we buy and use which are made in China, so it looks like the prices of those products will going to be thru the roof. I’m coming all the closer to the belief that the mentalities in the Executive branch of our Federal and State governments are somewhere between idiotic and unhinged. I was also reminded several days ago that our POTUS is dyslexic which means he’s got some real issues with reading and thoroughly understanding the documents he’s been signing.

I’m reminding as many people as I can, to be diligent in keeping themselves abreast of what’s going on in our State and Federal governments, and only because they’re purposely moving quickly to get bills passes which will have negative and long-lasting effects on the way in which our democratic government works. Truth be told, it seems like he’s been in office for far longer than he’s been, which has me and likely everyone else worried about the months and years ahead.

The little ‘one-liner’ I add every evening, is always meant to be thought provoking, but tonight’s is going to be the statement I’ll be using on those who made a huge mistake by believing all those false promises which were made while he was on the campaign trail, as well as their close alignments to everything they were seeing and hearing on Fox News.

Tonight’s One-liner is: You don’t have to admit you were wrong, but rather just admit you were lied to.
